The Mottled Grey was a good species for us, we have only had 3 in the past 9 years
Really cold start to the year up on North Coast of West Norfolk

We tried again at Dersingham Bog for Orange Underwing and this time saw at least 4 flying in the mid-day sunshine.
In the Toilet Block at Snettisham Services toilet block (TF 678713) we had 6 Yellow Horned

Today we had planty of sunshine so we visited Dersingham Bog (Park at TF662283 and walk to the John Denver Memorial Bench and look up into the tops of the birch trees.) to look for Orange Underwing but no success.

Finally a few degrees warmer with a temperature of 6 degrees at night.

Tried putting the trap on 9-11th March and had no moths at all

WHAT A COLD START TO THE YEAR UP HERE ON THE NORTH COAST OF WEST NORFOLK AND NO SIGN OF ANY MOTHS UNTIL MIDDLE OF MARCH
